Florida Bay Forever is a Florida Keys grassroots not-for-profit dedicated to protecting and preserving Florida Bay through education and advocacy. Our story begins in 2016 in the aftermath of a devastating seagrass die-off on Florida Bay. With 50,000 acres of seagrass lost, a group of dedicated Florida Keys residents came together to demand change for Florida Bay. After decades of water mismanagement, lagging Everglades restoration efforts, and a lack of political will, Florida Bay was left parched and vulnerable to collapse.

The Papa Joe’s restaurant building stood on the Southwest corner of Upper Matecumbe Key from 1937 to 2011. Papa Joe’s Waterfront is now offically open!

Our founder, Sheryl grew up in Islamorada in the heart of one of the most historical neighborhoods in the Florida Keys. Her love of food and the rich history that our island holds led her to establish the original Islamorada tour with captivating stories & local art, all accompanied by food. Designed to satisfy all taste buds and sample all the major influences of keys cuisine, the tour was meant to provide a taste of history and culture, coupled with the beauty of our island. It was also set to include glimpses of some locations and stories about the popular Netflix TV series Bloodline along with restaurants featured on The Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

The Key Largo Chamber Of Commerce Has Been A Testament To The Dedication And Commitment Of Its Members Since The Late 1930'S When A Group Of Upper Keys Business Owners Got Together To Discuss How To Improve Their Business Environment.

The Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of native and migratory wild birds that have been harmed or displaced; providing or locating a humane shelter for those birds that cannot be released; and educating the public towards the importance of coexistence with all wild bird species.

The Florida Keys History of Diving Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, displaying and interpreting artifacts, antiques, books, documents, photographs and oral history relative to the History of Diving. We tell the international story of the attempts to explore, understand and venture under the sea. We also celebrate the special role that South Florida and the Florida Keys played in this untold story.

Islander Resort is embarking on a transformative journey to redefine paradise.
